Are you an Air Show Flight Operations Expert?
If so you should be able to answer most of these questions without referring to the regulations.
- You have a performer who uses a turbine powered Glasair doing an aerobatic routine. The aircraft has a gross weight of 2,000 lbs what Show line should it use?
- You have a show at an airport with a single runway. Due to a number of local issues the only place for spectators is 450 feet from the runway. you plan on using the far edge of the runway as your show line and another marked show line at 1000 ft from the spectators. What restrictions do you now have to deal with?
- You have a Hughes 500 with a restrictive Airworthiness Certificate authorizing it to perform a loop. What show line does he use?
- Table 1 in 623 identifies the minimum show line distance from spectator, built up and occupied buildings. Careful review identifies distances for Cat I, II and III aerobatics, helicopters and non aerobatic flybys and flypasts for Cat II and III aeroplanes at 500 feet. Does this mean non aerobatic Cat I must do all passes on a 1500 foot line?

- We have a variety of jet and now rocket powered homebuilt aeroplanes some of which have aerobatic routines what show line do you have them use?
- At your show site airport you have a number of commercial helicopter operators. How does that effect your planning for the event?

- You have a Canadian Air show Performer hired and just as you are about to submit the performers data package to Transport Canada (on the last day required by the regulations) you notice you do not have a current copy of their pilot licence or medical certificate. What do you do?
